The campsite accommodates a wide range of campers with pull through and back in slots. Electrical hookups are available in some of the areas. Tent camping is intermingled in all of the campsite areas. Downside is that fire pits are not provided at the sites, outdoor campfires are discouraged because of the possibility of high winds, though I did see a few portable pits that people brought in for themselves.

Great location with big sites, plenty of room to park and play. Just wish trees were planted, even a few interspersed throughout the campsite would be great. Walking distance to Berta hiking trail and Alderson-carthew trail, Cameron falls, and to mainstreet and playground/waterpark in town. Overall great experience and lots of fun with the family.

Perfect setting surrounded by the mountains and the lake. Deer came into the site in the evening. Bathrooms are very nice. Even though campground was nearly full it was quiet and peaceful. I like that it's just a couple mins walk into town.

1- I have camped in about 15 different places in various national parks in the USA and Canada. This campground has the second most beautiful setting (second only to the Watchman CG at Zion NP). 2- It is sunny and flat, without a lot of trees. So it doesn't have mosquito issue. 3- We live near a prairie dog town, which is interesting. 4- The facilities seem to have been recently upgraded. As of June/July 2017, they were better than those in Banff and Lake Louise.

This campground is a great location within walking distance of restaurants, shopping, and supplies. There are views of the lake and the surrounding mountains. The campsite I stayed at was near the lake (G29). Trailheads are within walking or short driving distances.

Unfortunately, for being the ONLY campground in this national park, it is set in an open field without privacy or protection from the wind. On the plus side, you are close to everything once you set up camp.
